Results: September and October 2026
Samples taken on testing days on 5 September and 3 October 2026, and by volunteers at home between them. Each sample is from a kitchen tap after running the water for one minute. Coliform tests were done on part of the samples at the TSU Faculty of Biology and Chemistry laboratory.

What the numbers mean. Chlorine: water leaving the treatment works carries chlorine to keep it safe in the pipes; at the tap there should be 0.3-0.5 mg/l. Below that, bacteria that get into old pipes are not killed. Turbidity: cloudiness; water should be under 1.5 NTU. Coliform: there should be none in 100 ml; their presence means the water has met dirt or sewage somewhere. Nitrate: the limit is 45 mg/l; all our results are under it.
Our kits are not a certified laboratory. A single result can be wrong; we publish medians and counts, and we tell Talas Suu about any coliform result so they can take their own sample. Addresses of houses are never published.
