Umut means hope

We are about 150 families in Talas who have a child with a disability. We started in 2003 in a kitchen and now have two rooms in the polyclinic No. 6 building, thanks to the city.

What we have

• Saturday club for children and teenagers, 10:00-13:00: games, music, painting. Brothers and sisters welcome.
• Therapy room with exercise equipment; a massage therapist comes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Wheelchair and walker loan: we have 23 wheelchairs and 11 walkers to lend, free, while you wait for one from the state.
• Parents' evenings once a month: benefits, school, papers. Speakers from the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection come twice a year.

We need

Children's wheelchairs (size 30-36 cm), diapers for older children, a used minibus. Donations to Public Association «Umut», Talasbank account No. 1180 0024 1102 0071.
